Can I have a barbecue sauce recipe with no vinegar?

I have no vinegar in my house, but I have ketchup, honey mustard, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, light and dark brown sugar, soy sauce, teriyaki marinade along with a lot of spices. Just no vinegar and I don’t feel like going all the way to the store just for it.

BBQ sauce without vinegar would just be fancy ketchup. Can’t you borrow some vinegar from a friend or a neighbor?

Do you have a jar of dill pickles? You could use the juice from that. It’s vinegar with extra seasoning so it’s even better. Not to mention worcestershire sauce is mostly vinegar anyway.

I don’t think you really need it. I’d start with the ketchup and build from there. Add brown sugar, mustard, garlic, W sauce ect. The stuff you have on hand now sounds like it would make a pretty good sauce.

Try using soda/pop, like Coke, Root Beer or Ginger ale
